Good head movement and both hand and foot speed. 6-2 for Mike in my opinion. Lot of clinching by Roy, but who could blame him? Doubtful Tyson could compete with top heavyweights today, and he says he doesn't want to. But I'd favor him to be competitive against anyone outside the top 20 best today. Not the greatest fight I've ever seen, but not the worst either. Hays off to both guys for stepping in there.
Roy came in to survive and still had enough tricks to spoil.

But as you said can't really blame him. He looked to be wincing for real in the post-fight interview from the body shots.

I don't think Tyson went all out looking for the ko, but man did he work that body. I don't think Roy will do it again. I agree he was gassed and hurting from those punches.

I'd be interested in seeing Tyson take on someone bigger when and if he decides to do another exhibition. His speed was impressive for 54. No one is going to mistake him for prime Mike, but as long as he doesn't try fighting a top contender he can do some good, and look good doing it.

This is terrible quality film. Looking at this looks nothing the way it did live.
Thanks, just watched it. Wasn’t the greatest exhibition but I’m glad no one got knocked out and/or hurt.

They're old men by boxing standards but made a decent showing overall. I'm glad no one was hurt either. Like I said to ShoulderRoll, I don't think Mike was going for the ko. I think he is truly in this for charity and wants to make it exciting, but not really hurt anyone. He sounded like a different guy before and after the fight, but still as compelling as ever in my opinion.

Mike Tyson proved that at 54 years old he can still create a buzz in the boxing world and has plenty of fans...look at all the threads about last night's exhibition and how many people want to see more. Good for him. I enjoyed last night more than many if not most of the fights that have been put on lately. He still has entertainment value and I'm happy he found something to set up a financially secure retirement after everything he's been through.

Agree 100%. Although I think his weed business is taking pretty good care of him as well.

It wasn't the best fight But it was cool to see Mike back in the ring.

Roy isn't a dumb fighter and knew he had to tie Mike up.

I'm glad nobody got brutally KTFO like Nate

Do you think he'll continue doing these exhibitions as he said he wanted to?

I'm 51 and started training again (muay thai) 2 months ago. I've already talked to my people and told them I want to fight. I was told as long as I can pass the medical and they think I'm able I can get a fight when this covid ***** is over with. I'm not doing it to be a tough guy, I don't even care if I lose so long as I give it my best. I just want to test myself.

Of course this will be an amateur fight and no where near the level of fighter Jones or Tyson is. Even at their age they are to much for all but the very elite amateurs in the world.
                      Good luck to you.

Boxingscene’s own Breadman pretty much spoke my sentiment before the fight. I’m all for people taking their own decisions to make the life they want to have, I just think that taking punches to the head at this age is wrong.
