            - -Angelo, bless him as one of the all time characters on boxing, he was a very ol'man just happy to be around.

Ask him his top 5 fighters in boxing history and he'd name 5 of his guys!

I see no indication he's ever seen Popkins fight. He's praising him for his training habits, not fighting acumen.

In short, a knocked down molehill, not a mountain.

Angelo Dundee was all class, never read a bad word about him. Do you have any info Rick?

Not sure about Dundee's real knowledge of the sport, was he an ex boxer or a glorified fan with the big brother mafia Chris Dundee connection? Yes Dundee was around some incredibly great boxers but how much of an impact did he really have on their actual fighting tactics and training???

                - -Ali had already absorbed from the master of all fighters, but only wanted to fight in his natural style like Angelo allowed Willie Pastrano to use.

Thus Dundee primary function was as a motivator and suggestions in training and fights and lining up sparring partners. Provided the trainer gravitas for ref intercession when his guys were getting a raw deal.

he watched ali get beaten up till hes brain damaged just so his greedy ass could profit from it.

plus he cut the gloves in the cooper fight.

Maybe he knew the ******s had big money wagered on the fight going the distance?

Maybe he wagered on that bet too? No logical explanation for letting Ali take that beating.
