Good News: Panama Lewis is dead!

Does anyone else find it unusual that Panama Lewis only once reapplied to be licensed the New York state commission again? Resto has applied every year since he got out of prison. Of course he's been denied, but maybe he truly believes he was a pawn in all this. Lewis on the other hand continued to act like a guilty man the whole while screaming denials.

In my opinion both Lewis and Resto got off easy. I think it's very obvious that Lewis took the horse hair padding out of the gloves, and Resto completely lied (I don't remember from the documentary) if he stuck with the story he didn't know the gloves we're tampered with. ANY fighter would know if the we're tampered with. 2oz from a boxing glove is a huge difference.

how do you feel about pryor?

would you consider him the same level of scum as panama and resto?

No. I believe he cheated, or at the very least figured it out. But like Margarito vs Cotto, there is no proof. But more than that, damage wasn't caused that ruined a career. I do believe Lewis is the common denominator though and doubt either Pryor or Resto would go to those lengths without being prodded by Lewis or at the very least having his blessing. But who can really say? This isn't to say I don't have a certain disdain for Pryor. But it is admittedly more difficult to have it for a fighter you admired in comparison to a journeyman.

As far as im concerned panama mentioning the bottle/mix is definitive proof they cheated arguello.

Can't say for sure, but I don't think Pryor's gloves we're loaded. As many punches as he threw and as much as he landed, Arguello would have been wearing the same punishment on his face as Collins did.

I have no doubt that it wasn't the first time Lewis pulled this kind of thing. The guy was certifiable scum.
