True, not many elite level fighters were willing to get in the ring with them, even Robinson avoided them. LaMotta fought a few.

Sam Langford would have beateen David Tua in my opinion.

Heavyweights called him the hardest puncher they ever faced so that tells you something. And when it comes to ring craft he had way more of it than the relatively one-dimensional Tua.

Always liked that about LaMotta. He fought everyone. Bert Lytell lost a controversial SD to him, but many thought Lytell won the fight. I'm not aware of any film of the fight, but looking at their records at the time Jake was far more seasoned and experienced.

          Based on what!?!?

You're comparing them to fighters who proved themselves the absolute best in the world... even P4P, usually for a number of years, often across multiple weight divisions.

Ike had two good wins, Tua and Byrd. Neither were anything special. Apparently he was getting handled in sparring.

If we're gonna name Ike, we should name Golota and Sanders... and even include the disappointments of the 80s Heavyweight scene... Cooney, Dokes, Tate, Thomas, etc.

There are weight classes for a reason.
The dude's clearly an idiot. But your comment regarding Langford has me scratching my head. He fought virtually his entire career at Heavyweight; his peak years and best performances occurred in that division.

And Tyson Fury would literally kill Lomachenko if they fought. Who's the better fighter, though?

                  I would include:

                  Jimmy Bivins
                  Billy Graham
                  Ruben Castillo
                  Joe Choynsky
                  George Benton
                  Jerry Quarry
                  Lloyd Marshall
Good call on Quarry. If Cruiserweight had existed during his career he'd be remembered as one of the finest champions of all time. Put the shoe on the other foot: folks love to fawn over Middleweight Champions like Robinson, Monzon and Hagler... how well would they be remembered if the Middleweight division hadn't existed and their careers were different fighting at Light Heavyweight? Jerry was never going to be Heavyweight champion in the Post-Liston era, but he had the heart of a champion and skill to spare.

You're just a bit to dense for me to keep explaining these thing to you. I could provide more links for you to do some homework, but you think your opinion more valuable than people who either saw, fought or studied these fighters in depth. Honestly, I'm tired of wasting my time on your trolling. You're welcome to believe whatever you want. It doesn't affect me no matter how foolish you make yourself look.

Maybe you should actually watch him fight before commenting.
