    Title fights attended in person

I'm sure there are alot here who have attended world title fights in person. Me ? Only 1. Thomas Hearns vs Dennis Andries in Detroit in 1987.I remember the referee was horrid in that one. Great atmosphere though. Was televised live on Wide World of Sports. Share your stories.

The Preamble to Bramble -- Miami Beach, 1986

    Bramble-Rosario WBA LW Title

Rosario mugged Bramble and Bramble (wisley) quit on his knees in two.

    Camacho-Boza-Edwards WBC LW Title

Camacho watched, (when Bramble lost,) another million dollar fight slipped through his fingers (it was Mancini revisited) -- Macho Man lost heart and phoned in his performance refusing to engage Edwards. For the final six rounds the crowd chanted 'run Hector run.'

I still want my $100 back.

Sat right next to Alex Arguello all night. (There was a red ribbon separating us; he was sitting in $500 section.) The man was profoundly gracious all night long to every fan who approached him, or called out his name. And it happened almost non-stop. -- I got to spend the night sharing comments about the fights; it was worth the $100.

My friend (Ruth) and I wrote a nasty critique of the night and KO Magazine must have agreed, because they published it.
