(AP wire) --- Langford defends world 'colored' heavyweight title claim but because it was a NC fight Langford held his title by finishing on his feet.

Miske fight) Jeff Clark of Atlantic City had the better of Sam Langford, Boston. Clark sent Langford to the mat in the first round and was the aggressor throughout." (Indianapolis Star)

    - -Clark very forgotten much more deserving HOF honors than a Big Dummy Bowe.

    But he's long gone already inducted into Valhalla, so what does he care about that venal HOF copycat of MLB HOF?

      Clark has an incredible record. From 12-15 he went unbeaten in around 50 fights and beat some grest names before losing to mcvea. There's lots of losses on his record post 15 but to Langford, wills, mcvea etc.

        Nice thread!
        I do kinda like the idea of the title not changing hand if the champion is still standing at the end, despite obvious implications.
