  • Fights that are impossible to predict

If we are to pit two historical fighters against each other, which ones are so close that it is almost impossible to predict a winner?

    here are my candidates:

    1. Bob Foster vs.Michael Spinks. Imagine what a fight this would be? I can't even begin to predict who would win this one. Both fighters with good power, excellent technique, reach, determination, footwork. Talk about even!

    2. Barry McGuigan vs. Azumah Nelson. A contrast in styles. A prime McGuigan is a technician with power, and had one of the best left-hands ever. Nelson is awkward and slick. I can't say who would win this.

    3. Jack Dempsey vs. Floyd Patterson. Both fighters a bit small for heavyweight standards, but possessing power and aggression. This would be a wild fight.

    4. Carlos Monzon vs. GGG. I have GGG winning this, but it would be an absolute war. Anything could happen.

    5. Herny Armstrong vs. Willie Pep. Henry will chase and go for the KO, but can he figure out Pep? Or even corner him? Who knows?

what ideas do you guys have?

Too close to call: Foster-Spinks; Armstrong-Pep Yep!

    Na! Not close at all:

Dempsey over Patterson TKO (1) How can Patterson stand up to Dempsey's blows if he can't handle Liston's?

Monzon over GGG TKO (14) GGG couldn't get Canelo to 'war' with him how is going to force Monzon out of his game? Monzon will take him into the real championship rounds and finish him. Too many right hands.

    Too Close to Call

    Ali-Louis
    Monzon-Greb
    Marciano-Dempsey
    "Money"-Pep
    Holmes-Ali
    SRL-SRR

        - -Easy to put the magnificent Greb Record over GGG, but what GGG did coming out of a satellite state of the Soviets to make it big enough to generate American endorsement deals over their best fighter while setting records is hard to top.

Windmill vs Bludgeon Master has to favor GGG.

Heresy has it's place in the pantheon of righteousness.
