Ali vs Louis would be a great fight. Only Ali’s toughness gets him the win. Undoubtedly Joe catches Ali with killer blows as the rounds pass. Louis had two deadly incredibly quick fists.

What happened when young Clay after he had beat Liston he became more of a braggart and blowhard than before.
So having a scavenger mindset, he wanted to pick all the ol'Timers apart save for JJOHNSON who was staging a broadway comeback in the regrettable Great White Hope by Sackler.
Such insolence set the stage for his Uncle Tom/Gorilla comments about Frazier.
Joe had him figured long before his preening inception.
He can run, but he can't hide. Not for 15 rds. He ran out of gas after 8 with an injured Terrell.
Joe and Chappie would make a nice chicken dinner out of Ali. Started stronger and finished stronger...end of!

Frazier had slow feet. He said so himself. However Frazier caught Ali at will with his hook in 71. What if he had the Louis right hand to back up that hook? And the Louis jab? And the boxing skills of Louis? And the combination punching of Louis?
Louis actually had excellent footwork. You can watch him side step nimbly vs Baer, Carnera and Galento as examples.
The best Louis gives Ali hell. Only Ali’s toughness prevents a ko loss.
