I've heard several times of these two beings brother in laws but never found anything to back it up.Has anyone else heard this and can someone prove or disprove? Thanks

No they aren't.
I'm sure it would have been mentioned in here. They did date and Leonard was OK with it.

I remember they claimed for years the Ibragimovs were cousins. It turned out they weren't even related, just had the same last name.

I vaguely recall that Leonard was married to Benitez' sister, his first wife. I never followed up on it because I never cared. I read this way back in the 80's.
