    Man Boob Monsters

These fellas could fight, PLUS they had an impressive set of man boobs.

    I nominate Jimmy Young.

As I've said, Boxing post WWII was in the dark ages. While Team and Olympic sports are largely to blame for that because they recruited ost of the talent. It is also true that they influenced Boxing negatively.

John Kruk, CC Sabathia, you're favorite Football line man... they CAN be disgusting fat bodies and still get the job done.

I remember we used to look forward to football season because we could get fat. Same again, kinda, with baseball season. But for Wrestling we had to kill ourselves .. physically and mentally.

I sorta don't think kids should wrestle. Neither do my brothers or a lot of guys we grew up with. But if you decide to be a Professional you know you're all in, fulydy committed.

People blame drugs and money for all those careers that were cut short, but really they were guys who probably never gad it to begin with.

Look at Fury, he suffered all that only to make the best comeback in the history of Boxing. It's s decision. Now, is the ability to decide and see it through mostly genetic? Pretty much. But there's no room for excuses.

Disagree - what they need to do is place even stricter regulation on cutting weight.

Today high school wrestlers must have their body fat measured and are forbidden to cut below a certain weight.

Back in my day (late 60's early 70's) we use to use steam baths, whirlpool baths, plastic suits and starvation to 'make weight.' -- Most of that is now illegal.

They need to become even stricter on weight and force the kids (everyone) to wrestler at their natural weights.

IMHO the same standards should apply to amateur boxing.

But of course none of this should apply to a professional.

Yeah, they're stricter. But i'm still not seeing enough done about concussions and injuries (knees, neck, other joints).

Having kids changed my view of it.

If you are going to wrestle a ****** she needs to be at full strength, by buggery, or she might get hurt...

                    Fair enough!

But then I assume you don't support high school football.

Personally I think high school football will cease to exist (at the public level, not private) within the next 15 years. It will go the way of high school boxing, which seems to have disappeared sometime in the 1950s.
