Big height difference. But who knows which Rid**** would show up. He was a wasted talent.

I once asked the late Joe rein about Toney. James was one of his favorite fighters, a throwback, a guy who just loved/loves to fight. What he indicated (I don't remember his exact words) was one could never count Toney out. Perhaps the only way to keep Toney at bay at the buffet was to get him into a fight.

Toney had a thick skull, and I mean this literally as well as figuratively. Chavez had his skull x-rayed once as well, and was told it had a lot more thick mass than most people. Toney probably had a similar situation.

If Holly could pull it off why not James? It is a fact that the one fight Holly beat Bowe was when he listened to his corner and boxed... Toney always boxed. This could go either way...but it would be a decision, not a KO IMO. I think Toney would outbox Bowe and probably get a bad call by the judges.

92 fights, never got stopped, only got flash KD'd. And that's a MW who went up to HW. You're not kidding, pretty crazy stats.

Indeed! Joe once described Toney as living in the ring! lol.

Do you have a source for Chavez getting his skull x-rayed? I'd like to read about that.

                  Drugs, though.
After Winky, Toney is my second favourite fighter.
