As good as Ali is he cant compete with someone like Lewis, whos got the same level of skill, but much bigger with loads of power, a range height advantage etc Ali struggled with much lesser men than Lewis.

He can survive bigger punchers but not a boxer puncher on the level of Lewis, he can take Foremans power and Lyles because he wasnt eating shots all night, and eh was of a similar size, he had a skill advantage I think with Lewis he would be taking too many power shots, Lewis had Evander in trouble in a similar way

With Larry its closer but hes smaller with less range not too much power and can be knocked out. His record is less impressive also. Lewis beat more dangerous and more skilled bigger foe. I can see Larry troubling Lewis for a points win IF he can out jab him on the inside of Lennox's reach, but overall I think Lewis is better and more likely to win.

The amount of dangerous men hes dominated so many effective dangerous punchers , and hes beat a load of skilled men too, and guys that have both qualities, I dont think Larry could have done what Lewis did. I think Lewis is better.

I dont know im just trying to be realistic.

Overall the 90's guys were just better, bigger more skill, power with the skill rather than just one or the other

Its not even close. The 90''s guys had a better combination of skill and genetics.

You got some real freaks in the 80's but overall the 90's guys were on a higher level with more overall-complete fighters.

Its a bit unfair to compare the era's but if you transplant Bowe and Lewis in there theyd probably be top. Just throwing Tyson and Tua in there would be a massive problem for all the 80's guys. That being said look at Foreman in teh 90's as an old man, they were definitely a high level era I just think the way everyone got bigger in teh 90's most were more skillful and most have power to boot all in combination in individual fighters, its just to much for the older guys imo

He ducked it and eventually the WBC that he forfeited...Duh!!!
We already knew, you can't stand Larry.

I'm curious, why does his name anger you so much?

After all, he accomplished more in life than you and I ever will.
His name will be in the history books. Ours won't.

You don't know what I've accomplished, but on a boxing board you're more than welcome to try to explain away how Tyson cleaned up his MIA era.

If you're an athlete, especially in a combat sport or non-team sport. You MUST think this way. Even in retrospect.

                  Otherwise, you'll sink.

Holmes was pretty good. And considering he wasn't the most blessed physically, I think it's even more impresssive that he accomplished sooo much.

heart of a lion. Give him props for that.

That's true, and I apologize for that.
The sad thing, though, is that what us deadly have accomplished will soon be forgotten, as individuals.
Like the lots of anonymous men, heroic or not, who fought in the WW2 for democracy. Maybe we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously, and give credit to every man who gave his best while he lived. As a boxer, I think Larry has.

Definitely top three or four but very few sane adults would have him above Ali or Louis.
