It would have been a massacre! Marciano openly ducked Sonny Liston, who chased him around the world looking for the fight. Everyone knows that Sonny was a mean SOB. Mike Tyson would've made Rocky Marciano piss himself! Realistically, Mike was too fast, too strong, and his defense was underrated. At 185lbs, Rocky is too small to keep Tyson off of him. Tyson by KO3.

Tyson in one. Not to disrespect Rocky, he was #1 in his era. Times move on.

Tyson ko in 5 Rocky to small plus his style gets him destroyed.
If your gonna be a swarmer to beat Tyson you have to be bigger than 200 pounds and have good defence on the inside no shade to Rocky thoe.

              - -DPY, dumbest post of the year.

Rocky and Sonny barely overlap. When Rocky retired, Sonny a novice serving a prison sentence.

Lol I was gonna say. See heres the thing, just being in this section one hears some crazy 5hit occasionally, and in NHB? some ridiculous statements are made and you just have to laugh.

I am no Marciano expert but when it comes to trashing the rock? lets see now.... He was crude, he fought guys out of prime, he was small, he fought in a weak epoche (yes some people say this not making this up), He had no skills. I even thought I heard it said that he ducked Patterson once... Yes I know I know. BUT and this is a big a s s I mean a big BUT, never have I heard that Marciano ducked Liston .

                That is bat5hit crazy.

So everyone is counting the rock out aye? Well Tyson does match up well in any head to head. I actually think guy like Marciano stylistically is a legitimate threat to Mike. precident people, it is your friend...Instead of going for what appears to be, look a little deeper and it might suprise one what they see.

So lets assume in a different place in space, Holyfield had been Marciano and we were discussing this fight. I guarantee you people would say the same thing being said here. AND...Holy was a swarmer for much of his career! Not on the level of activity of Frazier, or Marciano, but similar enough to cause us to ask about the precident for a fight between marciano and Tyson.

Now some of you will get cute and say the TYson that fought the B@stard maker was not the best version... ok fair enough but the principles still apply! Tyson got beat when Turner taught the B@stard maker to drive Tyson back on his heels and hit him when he tried to regain his footing. One cannot punch when their base is destroyed.

Marciano, like all of the elite pressure guys understood this concept. He would put the opponent on their heels often. Mike would not have an easy time of it catching marciano clean.

Something to think about. I have to get moving now.

Kevin Rooney himself said Mike would beat every heavyweight in history EXCEPT Marciano and Ali.

It would be an ugly fight, both of these men have styles that are designed to chop down bigger men and aren't really designed to fight men of the same size.
