My point is that some of these years it was back and forth this just shows who ended up winning at the end of the year but someone else could have been the p4p champ at other times during each year.
thank you! i did not get much of ring mag back home, i had no clue about oscar-tito-shane wrecking the rankings like that. seems like the longest reigns are roy and floyd...

I'm pretty sure that KO mag had Oscar as p4p champ a lot longer . I'll see if I can find their list.

            Here you go, Darren, and this would be based on KO's annual poll (later picked up by The Ring) of the best fighters in the sport;

            1980: Roberto Duran
            1981: Thomas Hearns
            1982: Ray Leonard
            1983: Marvin Hagler

            1989: Mike Tyson
            1990: Julio Cesar Chavez
            1991: Julio Cesar Chavez
            1992: Julio Cesar Chavez
            1993: Pernell Whitaker
            1994: Pernell Whitaker
            1995: Roy Jones Jr.
            1996: Roy Jones Jr.
            1997: Oscar De La Hoya
            1998: Roy Jones Jr.
            1999: Roy Jones Jr.
            2000: Felix Trinidad
            2001: Shane Mosley
            2002: Roy Jones Jr.

That was taken from the May 2003 issue of The Ring, so unfortunately I don't have the last few years and that's as far as I can go with that.

Cool thanks it's pretty easy form there lol.
I wish there were p4p list in the 20's or even just before the Robinson era.
