    Mickey Walker Vs Marcel Cerdan

This fight is just too good. Walker brings a lot of class experience to the table, but Cerdan was a monster. Well, who wasn't, in this one?

Good as Cerdan was, Mickey is apt to knock his block off. Mickey's lefhook was the most untelegraphed I have seen. It comes suddenly out of nowhere.

Walker, theoretically, beats an Mw H2H. The pressure he brings and the left hook he uncorks... there's too much there to imagine most fighters besting him over 15 rounds. I do think Cerdan and Robinson were quicker to the punch, though. If we knew how an uninjured Cerdan fairs against LaMotta, I think we'd be more certain in our assertions.

Cerdan was no hack. He was quick and ballsy. He might as well be an honorary Irish man. He was a bit like his generation's Walker, but a little like Conn, too. I'm not confident picking against him here.

We didn't get to see enough Cerdan. His feet are also good.

Gotta pick Walker based on his experince he fought more dangerous fighters in his career and the man was hella tough. Cerdan is great but i dont think that chin holds up.

Cerdan has the wrong style, and size, to beat Walker. That left hook to the body will demoralize Cerdan very quickly. Walker UD 15 competitive but clear

These days Walker has to count as the most overlooked and probably as the most underrated middleweight AT great. His punch is hard and quick with either mitt, his legs are like mine braces and he takes an excellent shot. I do not think any middleweight is going to dispose of him easily, and only a few will dispose of him at all, if any. I figure he is a helluva fight for anyone, including Robinson, Monzon or Hagler. Any AT great middleweight will have a hard time earning a legitimate draw with Sharkey, and I do not see any of them beating prime Schmeling, either.

this would be a great fight. i don't know much about cerdan but i'm a fan of walker's so i'm picking mickey based on walker's fight with greb. i think greb could be argued to be greatest 160 lb fighter of all time. in the early rounds walker was trading fairly evenly with greb, but from the middle rounds greb started beating him up, even then walker lost a UD to greb. walker is at least a little more skilled than cerdan and i know he's a lot tougher. walker against monzon or hagler would be real wars, both walker and hagler had iron chins
