The Beverly Hillbillies Max Baer jr.

Son of Max bear sr. The boxer. I looked it up and Jetro Clampett was the son of heavy weight champ Baer sr.

Yeah when the movie Cinderella Man first came out, a news story was released at the time about how angry he was over the portrayal of his father in that movie. He didn't like his dad being portrayed as a villain, as he was never like that in real life, saying Ron Howard turned Baer into Clubber Lang from Rocky 3.

It's old news for those who already knows.
To other people, it is news.

On being called Jethro now: "It`s like somebody calling you a son of a b*tch. If he`s your friend, it`s okay. If he`s your enemy, it`s not.”

Now and then I find these lines listed in the category "Funny Max Baer (Sr) quotes". I first read it in a boxing mag long ago and for some years I believed ‘Jethro’ was one of Baer Sr:s nicknames.

I know, but for some reason, I didn’t make the connection. I read it a long time ago, but kinda doubted it. I know a few behar(***s like me)

I didn’t like the way they made his dad look in Cinderella man either.

Here's a short lil doc about Max Baer. Max Baer Jr is in it as a baby & as an adult in 1964 talking about his dad.
