    Yeah, 80s was the best decade.

    Followed by the 90s.

      Totally agree. Doubt we will ever see another era like this again.

          I was born in 1985, started watching in the early 90's. I think the 2000's were probably the best because we had rivalries like Morales-Barrera, Marquez-Vazquez, Pacquaio-Marquez (I & II), Gatti-Ward plus classics like Trinidad-Vargas, Toney-Jirvov to name a few. The years of 2000 and 2008 were probably the best I can remember as a fan.

          I loved the 90's too because I think there were even more great fighters operating then.

          I think the 1980's when looking back on tape is my favorite but I didn't live it. So many great fighters like Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Leonard, Arguello, Pryor, Gomez, Sanchez, Holmes, McCallum, Spinks, Chavez, Whitaker, Holyfield etc; and some truly memorable personalities and action fighters like Rosario, Saad Muhammad, Mancini, Tyson, Camacho, Pintor (prime) etc;

          I watched Rosario-Camacho last night. I've love to have been at MSG for that. I wish there was a copy in modern day HD. The story of that fight, the buildup and tales of both fighters really intrigues me. Too bad they never had a re-match as it was a natural rivalry and IMO Chapo didn't lose that fight.

            I wish I was old enough to be at Hearns Leonard 1 live. What a hot fight and crowd that was.

              Of the decades me myself has witnessed (1970s-present), it’s the 70s.

              Because then, there were only WBA and WBC.
              And as they were toothless, we didn’t listen to them.

              We all knew the name of the real World champion in every weight class.

                Even topping the 80s?

                  I voted the 70’s... I was a kid, my dad took me to a few local fights... I liked the 80’s Tyson, SRL, Hearns, Duran, Chavez Sr. Meldrick Taylor, and macho Camach, 15 round fights... many less sanctioning bodies and weight classes.

                    Always find myself drawn to watching fights from the 40's and 50's.

                    SRR, Charles, Moore, Johnson, Louis, Patterson, Marciano, Walcott, Willie Pep, Kid Gavilan and many more.

                    Some incredible fights, a long with brilliant skills.

                    Must have been a great time to be a boxing fan

                      Yes, if you lived in the US - if you didn't, you never got to see those great fights/fighters.
