u ppl these days are used to this BIG ass heavyweights...u dont even take the time to reflect that these 200 pound guys of the past were big for their day n age

No they weren't. These heavyweights that campaigned at 200-215 were not big for their day. They frequently fought 6 ft 5 + 250+ lb heavyweights (as far back and 190 lb Dempsey fighting 6 ft 7 250 lb Willard). Like today though, big heavy weights are just void fillers before a better smaller heavyweight comes along and they will call him an anomaly but it's reality just common sense. If Ruiz wasn't fat af he would be the best heavyweight right now by far. He's the most skilled, toughest and quickest. But he's obese and doesn't train.

On top of this most of the big guys today shouldn't even be as heavy as they are. Being fat doesn't make you a big guy, either does lifting weights and water retention. Your chin, heart, lungs and skull, hands remain the same.
