True that. Joe did not have a right cross to speak of.
Amazingly, in their first fight, Joe hurt Ali with a huge overhand right.

Joe had the magic left though. Ali dropped his right when he jabbed. So, Joe threw the left hook whenever Ali jabbed.

Great documentary on a fantastic fighter. Those were the days when men were men and women were glad of it. Or so said Henry..

Duran was one of the scariest men to deal with psychologically. There is no way sugar shane would last with Duran...he broke the speedy guys down, he had real pressure and was a real bona fide puncher.

Duran was ferocious and unrelenting, one of the best. He could cut you off and punch, pressure you and never let you catch a break and still catch you with a perfect shot. Jones for example, great as he was NEVER fought a guy that could pressure like Duran.

                  I concur!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roberto Duran was highly underrated for his boxing intellect and skills. A lot of times when you see guys who are considered smart fighters its because they are out boxers/run or have a longer reach that allows them to dictate the spacing because duran didn't have these advantages people didn't see his genius. In fact durans boxing actually requires even more tact and knowledge than the earlier qualities. He is a true master of the game and an ATG

There's never been a better inside fighter. Loma started putting on some inside work against Linares last weekend which I liked but man, not he nor anyone else even comes close to Roberto's insane inside game. Definitely a master.
