Do you recall any of his fights where his opponent managed to hurt him?

I would have to rewatch them but I think James Thunder did.

Agree, Wilson though was the perfect opponent, went the distance and provided a test. Often appeared on cable tv. His bout on ESPN against a lazy Mercer could have easily been a win and when I seen him on Kirshner's heavyweight explosion against Ibeabuchi I actually though Ibeabuchi looked ordinary. That was before the Byrd and Tua fights.

            You mean Cedric Kushner?

              Yep that's right. My bad.
Ironic that I inserted that name as
both Kushner and Don Kirshner promoted rock concerts in the seventies(dating myself here).

Another tidbit, Kushner's Heavyweight explosion was sent over the airwaves as a low cost ppv. Approx. 11 dollars a show and almost aired monthly. The airings on MSG and sometimes Prime Network(later Fox Sports) and other cable channels were delayed telecasts. I used to buy them and record them until I realized I could catch the replay.
