  • Best chin ever: the unknown Marion Wilson?

How have I never heard of this guy and why is he never brought up in chin topics?

12-41. Not one loss by stoppage. Fought some of the hardest hitters of his time like Mercer, Briggs, Rahman, Peter, Ibeabuchi etc. I'm in the process of figuring out if he ever got knocked down or hurt badly.

    Two other fun facts:
-One of his nicknames is "the creep".

-It's perhaps fitting that his last fight was against Oliver McCall. No kd/ko in that fight obviously.

A classic 'opponent.' Pay him for eight rounds, he'll give you eight rounds, and he won't mess up your guy's record. A small time promoter's best friend.

He even had his moment in the sun, back in '98, with several casino fights; he lost them all.

We need to find BoxRec a picture of this guy. Guys like him are important to the game and deserve to be remembered.

The is some UK journeyman with that type of talent. Well over 100 losses and like 2-3 are stoppage losses

Peter Buckley, 300 fights and he never touched the canvas.

Yea as "The Keed" posted above Peter Buckley - at one point Buckley figured out how to squeezed in 81 straight loses between two wins (albeit he had two draws mixed in there as well)

He had a life time record of 32-256-12 but was stopped only ten times. Of course it helped he was a bantamweight; he wasn't getting ****** on by 200+ pound men, the way the Marion Wilson was.

Marion Wilson is a fabulous find. I can't wait to learn more details. To take all those beatings and never gnaw canvas is special.

Not unknown to me, I watched Wilson over a dozen times. He was a blue collar opponent that would fight anybody.
