It's like watching a greatest hits for me. Some great KO's on his record.

My kind of fighter. I'll probably save him and Julian Jackson for my last two to watch then.

If you've not watched the Ruben Olivares set get on that.

        Olivares vs. Kanazawa II
Olivares vs. Castillo I & II
        Olivares vs. Arguello
Olivares vs. Chacon I & II
        Olivares vs. Hafey II
        Olivares vs. Rose
        Olivares vs. Pimentel

Here is how I count it. If Spanish is their native tongue and they are from north or south America, and they are brown instead of black, then they are Mexican. The top five Mexican fighters of all time are:

            Duran
            Monzon
            Chavez
            Sanchez
            Arguello

I was watching a ton of fights with Duran over the weekend.

So by your rationale is Wilfredo Gomez Mexican and Felix Trinidad Puerto Rican?

I remember the build-up to the Zarate vs Zamora-fight.
To us boxing freaks, it was as exciting as the preludes to the 1st Ali-Frazier fight.
I hoped for Zarate to win, but was doubtful, as Zamora was higher rated in several ranking lists.

Looking back, Zamora’s greatest win was his title defense against an unknown guy named Eusebio Pedroza. Later, we learned how great Pedroza was …

Reminds me of when Golden Boy got Maidana, an unknown Argentinean fighting in Germany, as a sacrificial lamb for Victor Ortiz. How little we all knew.
