Actually every time Dempsey-Louis and I have talked, going back to the last thread, it always ended on a good and respectful note. I think you are being way too sensitive.

And I already told you I began the thread. I even “mentioned” you in it to alert you to it about 3 times.

Why are you concerned about me posting to Another poster? Its not a conspiracy its a little tongue in cheek. Do you need to control how others process now?

Are you a control freak? Listen my posts are too long and I can be a self righteous azznole ok? So with that in mind are you a control freak at times?

Dude...because you are posting about me! What's your problem recently? Am I not allowed to defend myself? I felt like you were trying to turn Dempsey-Louis against me when we have talked both publicly and privately and we have no issues with each other.

Defend yourself against what? Your allowed to do anything you want... that is quite a thought to take from that post... There is a lot of tongue and cheek posting just something to be aware of.

Ok, then it's quite possible that I was being the sensitive one in that instance. I will accept that, and I'll apologize for butting into your conversation with someone else.....about me. lol

In any event, what's the deal with the debate? We on or off?

You don't have to apologize... Need I repeat myself again? Read what I wrote last time, or the time before that, or... if memory serves correct, the time before that... actually was there even a time before that, could have been...

Dude, I have no idea what you are referring to.

If it's about the thread, I've now told you three times that it was already made. I used the mention function also about 3 times to show you that it was made.

Do you need me to give you a link? It's in the dome and not hard to find.

              Actually....here:

The idea that Dempsey gloves were loaded was disproven many decades ago. Dempsey came into the ring ungloved. Willards people examined Dempseys wrapped hands. Fleischer was in Dempseys dressing room and watched his hands being wrapped. Nat found no impropriety.

Again, this is not about the debunked theory of plaster or an iron spike.

What we are discussing was never debunked. We are talking about “legal” hand wraps described as a “trick of the trade” that were used for an advantage.

White bicycle tape did not exist in 1919. Secondly why do we believe every snippet of comments discribed in print? As a classic example Willard stated he koed Johnson with an uppercut! Do we want to now debate whether Willard in fact koed Johnson with an uppercut? (It was a straight right hand). As a person who has boxed many rounds always with wraps I cannot imagine any tape making punches in any great way harder or give punches more of an ability to cut. It just is not in any way logical.
