marciano hits harder, and i think he could make frazier afraid of him. as much as i like joe frazier, i think marciano would get up off the canvas and stop him. probably both guys go to the hospital after the fightComment

Both men had hearts of a lion. This would be a brutal fight. There is a part of me that can see Marciano gritting out over the distance and wearing Joe down with a body attack. Ali rarely went to the body which is why Joe could go the distance with him for almost three fights. On the other hand, Chuvalo had a very similar style to Rocky and was slightly bigger but couldn't hang the distance with Joe. When we look back and see how much Rocky had his hands full with an old Walcott, I have to wonder if he could handle a young, strong Frazier. Even money on this fight.Comment

Im going against the grain here, which is surprising to me, but I think Frazier is the better boxer, better fighter, and more proven at the top level.
I would take him to win for sure.

To beat a one handed fighter you only have to figure out how to nullify his principal weapon, in this case the lefhook. If Goldman had a strategy for that which Rocky's discipline could implement, that could be enough. Archie Moore stated that until he was in the ring with him he thought Marciano would be easy to land the hook on. Once they were in there Rocky's weird leaning and bending to the side made it difficult. If Frazier had similar difficulty with the lefhook Marciano's chances would improve.Comment
