Good call. I remember watching Charles Williams vs. Merqui Sosa and the ref stopped the fight because he said each fighter had taken too much punishment to continue. Commentators didn't know what to make of it, and each fighter was pissed because they had gone some long and grueling rounds and the fight ended in a technical draw. Ron Lipton was the ref for that fight and he took a lot of criticism afterwards. I don't think he got too much work after that.
