I kinda wrote myself into a corner with that last one. Enjoy.

Keep up the good work, Escudo. I think you made this fight out to be more than it was for action, but I like your style and your enthusiasm is palpable. Observations are sound. Sometimes the mythic matchups provide a dull fight. This matchup was about as sterling as you can get. Everyone knew both were great fighters and no one knew who would win or how. Jones won dully, which was his way in the presence of danger. His way, he was well nigh untouchable. He kept the other fighter's punch stats so low that he himself had to do very little to win--show some beautiful moves, land a few dramatic shots here and there and remain untouched throughout the round, or maybe the opponent landed one or two insignificant sc****s.

roy is a bad style match up for toney, but he had his moments. there's one part in the 5th round where james makes roy miss twice

Speaking of Jones, I can't believe he's still active. He has a fight scheduled for 2017 already.

Hopefully never. Summer 2017 will be his first year of eligibility for the hall of fame.

Whether he comes back or not, will not affect his induction next summer.

It will if it's before the summer, since you have to have gone at least 5 years since your last fight to be inducted. Either way, I hope he doesn't come back, he's like 55 now. Hopkins is doing his farewell fight now at 51.

Holyfield was voted in a couple of weeks ago, so he's already a HOFer. What happens next June is just the celebration of the new inductees. So if he has a fight between now and then, makes no difference.
