  • Biggest Robberies in boxing?

This bad decision make me curious on another events like that.

Tito-Oscar comes to mind ,even on Ward-Kovalev undercard in co-main there was horrible decision.

    any onthers ?

    The list is basically endless..

    Few notable ones I remember
    Bradley-manny 1
The scorecard that gave Canelo a draw vs floyd
    Lennox-holyfield 1
    Spinks-holmes 2

It is particularly greivous when they get it wrong in the big ones, as they are wont to do frequently, in fact. The smell of puke is particularly dense tonight, I would say.

They got Tito/Hoya wrong, too, among a vast list of others. Walcott gave Louis a thorough drubbing on film and lost the fight on points somehow. The reactions of Walcott's cornermen are one of my all time favorite highlights of reactions to boxing shamelessness.

I declare Ward the worst clincher and poison for the eye that has fought in the ring in decades--I mean seven or eight. It is hard to imagine a man grabbing and holding that much without even receiving one warning. That is why they had a black referee who moved like grandma Moses. It is not exactly fixed, but it is what I call shaped so hard that you cannot actually tell the difference. You shape it on so many levels that you get the result you want. JayZ has lots of money to influence many things.

Only one thing earns the status of a "person of class," in the Vegas casino world--being a big tipper. Someone did some nice tipping methinks, and became a real classy person.

        Tito-Oscar
        Holyfield-Lewis 1
        Spinks-Holmes 1 and 2

        Williams-Lara

And I thought they usually have at least one judge from both fighter's home countries, but I heard all 3 last night were American. What the hell?

The only way to change this is to start suspending or firing judges who make bad decisions. Or suspend first, then suspend longer from big fights, then firing and being banned from anymore judging and maybe have someone in charge jump in and say "that was a bunch of bullspit, you know it, I know it, we all know it, so the decision is being reversed." I mean, if football and baseball can use video replays to overturn bad calls, boxing should too. Would take longer though, having to sit through 12 rounds, but it could still happen after about a week.

In my life time Oscar v tito and many v Bradley stands out but Kovalev v ward is not so far behind.

No NSB overspill from last nights fight please gentlemen. Stick to the historical perspective.

Spinks actually did out point Holmes in the first one...even a injured Holmes. the second one was a clear robbery.

People wont like this but I always felt Frazier defeated Ali in the second fight, if you look at all the missed shots Ali threw the announcers called and added body shots and effective aggressiveness that snapped alis head back through out the fight..

I also think Lewis draw with holyfield one was a disaster..ppl seem to think just b/c a few rounds make a fight that its close...doesn't work like that.

Spinks vs Holmes is the most infamous, because anyone with boxing high IQ could see Holmes won that one.

Godoy vs Louis 1...Godoy clearly won and dominated that fight, wasnt even close really.

Frankie Randall vs Chavez is probably a huge robbery that comes to mind outside Hw's. and gave the win to then unbeaten chavez in which was as clear a loss as any.

I could name a major fight and PROVE a certain 6'6 Ukranian won, but I wont bother.

Biggest Robberies? Shouldn't that be fights, where someone is so outrageously swindled, that EVERYBODY (but the judges, of course!) can see, something fishy went down - and not just controversial fights that could have gone either way (like Tito-Oscar, or last night's big fight in Vegas, for example)?

The most absurd decision I can think of is Roy Jones' defeat in the Olympics.
