ahhh if you're purely talking numbers and the number of fights he had then yeah, sure. But that would be an unfair comparison because fighters back then were paid a lot less and had to fight so often (unless you were a heavy) simply to put food on the table.

In numbers of faced HoFers and champions Greb is a master.not only in numbers of All fights ,fighters fought many times back Then but Greb is close to record of fights.many from his times had 150 to 200 even less and he had 307 in some sources.

Greb was a beast, once I read that he had more fights then there are listed on the normal record keeper websites, but were not listed because of lack of info. He also did exhibitions that were changed to normal fights before the fight started.

Very big big shame that we are never going to see a footage of Greb fighting (not the training one). Also that his daughter passed away and not sure if there are any interviews of her speaking about her dad.

Also read his book Give Him To The Angels, was a very nice book, will read it again in the future for sure

IMO Sugar Ray Robinson is also close to Greb, Sugar was a knockout machine and also had a great amateur career were he was undefeated.

The Greb resume is hard to match. He mixed it up with many of the greats, in and out of his weight class.

I read "The fearless Harry Greb" which was excellent. May have to order a copy of "Give him to the angels" if its worth the read in comparison.

If that filmed copy of Greb/Walker is ever found in good shape, how many millions would it be worth?

                That's an interesting question!

Let's say a copy miraculously was found in not just good/acceptable shape but in excellent shape - say like the Schmeling vs Baer fight. Clear picture, correct speed, etc.

Would it be worth millions? Well, to nerds who have found their way into a forum like this, it would be almost priceless! But to the general public, or even your average fight fan, it probably wouldn't mean that much.

Still, there would certainly be several super-fans out there, willing to shell out a lot of money for this (or any Greb fight for that matter!). How much is anybody's guess.

Was a great read. The book also had "interviews / quotes" from Greb's sister as well. worth the read for sure.
