    Philly fighters earned their historical reputation. Can you point to any accomplishments from Mancunian fighters to justify your belief that they belong on the same level?

      Exactly that's what I'm saying. Manchester have produced some domestically tough fighters but other than Hatton - who is not an all Time great but was the product of expert matchmaking, apart from decent fighters which actual legends have u produced? Philly and Mexico on the other hand...

        I normally think of fighters like Bennie Briscoe or Joe Frazier when I think of prototypical Philly style. But i guess even that was true at one point it definitely isnt today.

        The mental and physical toughness and machismo is always there if you are a brawler or a technician from Philly, and thats probably the common thread.

        Hopefully the man in my sig can carry the torch for the next gen
