  • Dirtiest Boxers of all time?

Who's had the most low-blows, eye-gauges, elbows? And done whatever the **** to get that W.

Pedrosa is the dirtiest I ever saw in person, he was a "fouling" machine!
Golota was the worst at it and he did to avoid the fight to continue one of the few times you'll see a fighter turn coward in the ring.
Bernard Hopkins also was a cheap shot artist in his younger days.
Sandy Saddler used rough house tactics when he got frustrated.
Harry Greb was also a master at dirt tactics, he was a dangerous man.

Tyson & Golota, hands down!! (Well at least in modern times)

I'm sure there were some cats back in the old days before every fight was filmed that did some pretty nasty stuff, but all you have to do is look at Golota's fights against Rid**** Bowe, and in his bout with Sampson Po'uha he bit him on the neck to avoid getting put on the canvas and threw in some juicy low blows later on in the fight. (Although it didn't matter as Po'uha was well overweight and only had a puncher's chance in that bout)

As for Tyson................. two words................Evander's ear.

Yeah Tyson, Evander sometimes with head butting and although it wasn't rampant, Chavez Sr. would sometimes end up hitting opponents low when he was doing his body punching. It cost him the first fight with Randall on the scorecards with the two point deductions.

And what was the deal with Evander's fight with Bobby Czyz? Chez said his eyes were burning. So what do you guys think? Was something put on Holyfield's gloves? And if we're counting trainers, Carlos "Panama" Lewis is a shoe in. Got convicted of assault and still wouldn't admit to it in that Assault in the Ring documentary.

andre ward, because he covers the full spectrum of fouls- excessive clinching, headbutts, elbows, low blows

Easily Tyson. His fights are full of low blows and hitting after the bell.

it's an old trick to rub Vaseline on the gloves and then punch in the eye. I can remember seeing a couple fights where one guy said his eyes were burning right after a jab in the eyes. it'd be pretty easy for a cutman to rub down the gloves with Vaseline right after putting over a cut

On a later Showtime episode they replayed the Czyz corner and Bobby was complaining to his trainer about his back. His trainer told him in the corner to say it was something in his eyes. It was fabricated. When they showed the corner replay later, Czyz, who was an announcer for Showtime was like uhh, hmmm, uhhh. Embarrassing moment for Czyz.

There were plenty of moments however where something got into the eyes. Ali-ListonI and a Gerrie Coetzee fight too comes to mind.(I can't remember right off, it might have been the Weaver fight)
