Let's imagine all these fighters in the ring within a few days, hours or even against each other, this happened in the 2003 World Amateur Championship in Thailand.
Andre Berto, Gennady Golovkin, Marcos Maidana, Andy Lee, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Takashi Uchiyama, Matvey Korobov, Odlanier Solis, Dejan Zlaticanin, Guillermo Rigondeaux, Daniel Geale, Lucian Bute, Beibut Shumenov, Billy Dib and that without counting the great amateur fighters.

They were almost all in different weight classes. During worlds you see these types of things. There is a lot of talent there though.

In some way, but you don't see the likes of Maidana and Uchiyama that often.

Speaking of Gamboa, what the hell ever happened to him? He's had 2 wins since his first loss, but hasn't fought since last December. Is he retiring, since he's made some good money or just complacent since becoming more successful or both?

The Cuban effect, just an awful management, sad because he was both talented and exciting.

YES, I agree. So I guess he's still fighting, but sporadically until he gets the management thing figured out? Guess we'll find out in a year or two at most. Would love to see him win a rematch with Crawford, he was winning early. I could see him winning a decision if he stuck and moved.

Bad management? Is there any other kind?

They weren't that good back then... Some of them still aren't.
