  • Youtube Video Help! Beatdown Knockouts

I'm currently 4 parts in to my 'Terrifying Beatdown Ko's' series on youtube, and the views are starting to build. So I would love continue the series, but have ran out of the sort of Knockouts i'm looking for. Basically when referees go missing and a Boxer takes a lot of unnecessary punishment. Brutal I know, but apparently that's what people like to see.

Here are the knockouts I've used so far

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Andy Price
    Gerry Cooney vs Ken Norton
    ****y Eklund vs Allen Clarke
    Muhammad Ali vs Brian London
    Marvin Hagler vs Loucif Haman
    Ray Mercer vs Tommy Morrison
Chris Eubank Jr vs Ivan Jukic
Donovan 'Razor' Ruddock vs Michael Dokes
    Pernell Whitaker vs Diosbelys Hurtado
    Alex Garcia vs Bernard Benton
    David Tua vs John Ruiz
    Adie Whitmore vs Carl Wild
    Chris Pearson vs Acacio Ferreira
Alfredo Angulo vs Harry Joe Yorgey
    Carl Froch vs Lucien Bute
Kelly Pavlik vs Jose Luis Zertuche
Juan Manuel Lopez vs Jesus Cuellar
    Jaidon Codrington vs Allen Green
Roy Jones Jr vs Enzo Maccarenelli
    Ray Mercer vs Jeff Pegues

If you guys know any more similar to these, that are maybe a bit less known and preferably from the last 10 years or so,I would appreciate it massivly. I only need 5 for an episode!

Speaking of Jones, how about Roy Jones vs. Richard Hall, where even the announcers were yelling for the ref to stop the fight before he finally did:

    Skip to about 46:05:

The all time classic for this is Griffith/Paret. The referee was certainly asleep. Some are only knockouts, some are true beatdowns. Marciano's beatdown of Moore has to qualify.

Griffith vs Peret was a live TV event that eventually ended in death!
The ref was terribly lapse and close to criminal.
I watched live on tv and the action in the corner was the worst sequence I've ever seen. That was the first beat down that ended in tragedy another bout I saw live was the KO of Charlie Newall in the Hartford CC vs Marlon Starling.
Although Charlie passed a few days later we all knew that feeling that happened that night was a finality we all fear. A game of consequences indeed.

I saw it on live television when I was a little kid.
