    Making adjustments.

What fighters were the best at adjusting mid-fight?

Well, holy mackerel, what fighters were doing poorly in big fights then did well after an obvious adjustment?

Marquez in Pac I comes to mind. He made his adjustment in the second round, but he felt like he had been through at least half a fight. The sad fact is that most fighters cannot adjust to what does not suit them.

I agree MW and Leonard were great adjusters. Coming up with the specific example of a mid-fight change of strategy that really saved the day is not that easy. Methinks it usually would not take great fighters until mid fight to adjust.

Didn't Pryor box more later in his first fight with Arguello after mostly brawling toe to toe in the early rounds. I believe Hearns did this too in the first Leonard fight, which made Leonard adjust and become the brawler.
