4/. Hide - Had decent undefeated run to 95

Lewis was "Gifted the title" November 1999...yet from october 92 when he won the WBC title, Lewis avoided all the top fighters of the 1990s many of who held titles. Moorer, Foreman, Tyson, Holyfield, Witherspoon, Hide, Bowe, Ruiz, Byrd, Wlad, Sanders..

Choosing to fight hand-picked tomato cans in Grant, Botha, Akinwande, Rahman, Jackson, Butler, Mavrovic, Fortune and exposed shot` fighters Morrison, Mercer and Briggs..

Huge difference in class and ability, between those fighters who held titles and the fighters Lewis chose to fight.

Tyson Fury going to Germany as a 5/1 dog, to beat Wladimir Klitschko. Out-trumps anything Lennox Lewis ever achieved.

Lewis was odds-on favourite to defeat Drug addict Mike Tyson. Who was addicted to Anti-Depressants, Alcohol, ******* and Cannabis.

Lewis getting poleaxed by two mediocer journeymen, has to be added to the equation. It cannot be ignored when passing judgement on Lewis career and his ability.

              I get all that.

But, there is no way in hell you could argue that Tyson Fury is a more accomplished fighter than Lennox Lewis at this stage of his career.

And I am a Tyson Fury fan and certainly not a fan of Lewis.

Greatest British Heavyweight Champion ---- is what the thread is titled.
Not more accomplished fighter. Fury defeating Wladimir Klitschko in Germany, out-trumps anything Lewis ever done.

Let me explain to you Dan.

Lewis picks belt out of rubbish bin in 93. Lewis losses title to journeyman in 94. Lewis wins vacant title from drug-addict journeyman in 97. Lewis unfortunate to only get draw against old Holyfield 99. Lewis very fortunate to get decision over old Holyfield 99. Lewis losses title and regains it from journeyman 01.

Fury 5/1 underdog in Germany against Universally acknowledged World No1 and 1/5 favourite Wladimir Klitschko.

Bruno defeats journeyman who had poleaxed Lewis in 2rds.

Hide defeats Michael Bent, losses to Rid**** Bowe. wins vacant title against shot` Tony Tucker, losses to Vitali Klitschko.

Haye wins decision over mediocre champion. Humiliated in losing unification fight against Wladimir.

You don't need to explain this to me Sonny you know full well I know all these things already.

Fury had a great win over Wladimir, but his resume is extremely thin after that.

You can argue Lewis lost the 2nd Holyfield fight when he won the Title, which I would agree with you on. But, on the same token, Lewis clearly beat Holyfield the first time and was robbed of being Champion. So it works both ways.

Lennox Lewis accomplishments AT HEAVYWEIGHT blow Furys out the water. It's just that simple. And I'll repeat that I am no fan of Lewis.
