How Hopkins tried to con the public into buying the Roy Jones rematch

LOL. Hilarious video. I always thought the rematch would be terrible. Most rematches need to be made quickly after the first while they are hot- within two, three years. Seventeen years between? Yeah. Those interested in the first fight are now not paying attention, forgot the first fight since it wasn't much or let's face it, they might even be dead. People die every day. There are a lot of days in seventeen years.
Hopkins is like that, though. Ever the salesman. It's pretty entertaining as far as hype and build-up a least. I still haven't seen his rematch with Jones but this video almost makes me want to watch it to see how bad it was. -

Well, I've always looked for the best fights ever. Maybe now I can look up the worst fights ever. I love the sport, but I have seen some that would cause suicide to know how bad it can be.Comment

The worst ones are the clinchfests, where both guys have a sort of silent agreement going and automatically clinch eachother the moment one of them closes distance and it goes on without ever having any action. I have a feeling Hopkins-Jones 2 was like that(I also haven't watched it and probably never will).Comment

Yeah well not only the huge time gap of 17 years between fights, but it was also the fact that Jones was TKO'd in his previous fight that made Hopkins have to try harder to sell the rematch with Jones.Comment
