HBO had their first fight in 1973 (Frazier vs Foreman I), but they didn't show more than 4 fights in any given year til 1981 (Hagler & Leonard HBO era) & they didn't have a full year of monthly shows for the first time til 1997 (De La Hoya, Lewis & Whitaker HBO era).

Nerded out on the HBO Boxing website the other day.

But most of the protracted matches were wrestlers against Jiu Jitsu men...

Wrestlers are tough to handle from a Ju Jutsu perspective. This is primarily in the area of throwing because wrestlers have great balance and when sprawling, a low center of balance...Superfoot Wallace allegedly, as a novice, bested his Judo teacher with wrestling technique.
I never saw this one myself until recently. These types of vids seem to pop out of nowhwere. The funniest one I saw actually was Trevor Berbick fight in japan against Takada a pro wrestler. He literally started crying a bit when he got kicked in his leg and ran out of the ring.

I believe you are talking about Fred Savage who fought Lebell, a true sloppy fight with some dumb rules, interesting note on that one is Savage had iron bars in his bag gloves. im not to aware of Jui jitsu guys vs boxers, ive heard boxers vs wrestlers much more. I do know Helio Gracie once challenged Joe Louis to showcase his fighting technique from Brazil.

One of my affiliates showed me his UFC 1 invitation 3 years ago ,he was at the time Muai Thai champion. He changed his mind when he saw the pay and no life or death insurance ,i think he said you got a 1000 dollars each win ,you got 60,000 if you won the tournament .
        I think it was 50,000.

I'm not sure (if at all) how little known this fact is, but here it is (just in case): Alfonso Teofilo Brown, BKA "Panama Al Brown" was the first Latin American to become world champion (in 1929). Need I say in what country he was born?
