I don't think that much of him
Kosta Tszyu would be lucky to make the list and you're dreaming if you think he could beat Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd is also clearly at the bare minimum Top 5 of the last 25 years.

Kostya would be way too slow foot wise to apply enough pressure to beat floyd on points

But he had one punch KO power and impeccable timing...

      Punchers chance for sure.

            His record's not great.

Infact his record is quite poor.

How he's managed to find himself in the Hall Of Fame still baffles me.

Punchers chance, at best. If any chance.

Even if Tszyu lands on Mayweather, he's not going to knock him out.

I very much doubt Kosta Tszyu would see the final bell if he fought Mayweather. Complete different levels of fighters.

I think its a good list, although Nonito Donaire is definitely out of place in there, and should not be in it for sure. Also Andre Ward could have been higher, from an eyeball test he certainly would be, but I guess he still has more to prove so not a big deal as he is still active and has time to move up the list.

I personally would have the top 3 like this:

                Roy
                Floyd
                Pea

You can honestly make a case for any of them, but this is my personal preference. Obviously Mayweather and Whitaker are easier to compare, my gut feeling tells me that Floyd would have gone through Whitaker's resume in a more dominant fashion, plus he has superior longevity. Whitaker does have the better wins though and I can see why someone might rank him higher.

Tszyu has a chance of stopping anyone he lands on at 140lbs.

You're def underrating him a lot here.

And he def deserves to be hofer.

he belongs in any sensible discussion in the top 10 140lbers ever.

He was of the same school as GGG and Kovalev. Very technical punchers who place their shots beautifully.

And he had trouble with guys that closed in on him.

Floyd is actually a favourable style match up as he would give kostya room to work.

I think floyd takes a clear decision thats competitive in parts. We know floyd has a good chin and is hard to hit but kostya has a 50-50 chance of hurting or dropping him imo.

Floyd never faced kostya's combo of timing and power.

you're a good poster so i take what u say seriously. please explain this position.

and I'm not just being biased cause I'm an aussie. i really think Tszyu was one of the best fighters of the last 20 years. I dont make lists but i would wager he isn't out of place just scraping in to a top 25 list.

i agree Floyd is a level higher.

Id rate Tszyu as an A class fighter. A- at worst. Floyd A+ obviously

                      What do you want explaining?

His resume isn't good. What's his beat win? Judah? Sharmba Mitchell?

His skills are extremely overrated as is his power. Yeah he could punch but he's hardly the monsterous puncher he's being made out to be.
