Always thought a good nickname for a French or French Canadian boxer would be The French Tickler.
Electro for someone electrifying or even The Shocker could work. Maybe The Cleveland Steamer. Just ones I'd like to see haha.
Baby for Joe Mesi was an interesting one. Or maybe a boxer named Richard could be nicknamed Big ****. Pro wrestler **** Slater was nicknamed The Rebel in WWF, but I remember going to an independent show at a high school gym and seeing him given the nickname Dirty ****, which gave the kids in the audience a good chuckle.
But back to boxing ...
Sweet Pea Whitaker -- great origin, Pernell's friends called him Pete and at a national amateur tournament in his hometown area the crowd was chanting "Sweet Pete" and a reporter misunderstood it and called him Sweet Pea in his story, and it stuck.
Lenny and Ray Mancini, the two Boom Booms
Andy Gannigan, the Hawaiian Punch
Chuck Wepner, the Bayonne Bleeder
And, from the movies, Apollo Creed ... The Count of Monte Fisto
