  • Leonard's best non-Fab 4 wins.

What would you say were SRL's best wins that weren't Duran, Hagler, or Hearns?

      Benitez
      Kalule
Ladonde (just for the simple fact it was so far up in weight)

There was a time when the fab four included Benitez. I believe it was Ring that called Leonard, Duran, Hearns and Benitez the fab four originally but in time Hagler replaced Benitez.

I always was very impressed with Leonard's win over Andy Price. Price was a contender and had wins over both of the current welterweight champs(Palomino & Cuevas) at the time. It was supposed to be a stern test for the young Leonard and Leonard took him out in the first round. It was funny but after the fight Leonard responded, "I love it when opponents cooperate like that"!

The price win was a dominate performance and if I am not mistaken duran looked bad on the same card against Gonzalez which cemented leonard as the favorite. Getting up to stop lalonde was impressive but it would have been more so if Donnie could have come in at his natural weight.

That was going to be one of my choices. That fight belongs in any Leonard highlight reel.
