Historic Ring Sizes

Marciano got ****ell in a 16foot ring.

Something nags at me about the size of that ring. I remember an announcer giving the size of it, but cannot remember the size he gave. You don't happen to have a link to that announcement, do you? The ring was very small, as a man can see. I seem to think it was an odd rope dimension with 1/2 in there. Couldn't swear it though. Could have been another fight.
