Louis might have been 6'2" in elevator shoes with two inch heels.

Wlad... Really? He landed a couple of flush ones on David Haye and he managed to take them... Can't say if Foreman, Shavers, Lyle et al landed hed be there. Hard puncher no doubt but of all time nope.

Your not really looking at the snap of the punch..E.steward had said Wlad hits harder than Lewis....Records are records ...they don't don't count its the actual vid footage...Wlad is a scary K.O PUNCHER no doubt looking at footage,.how many guys did Foreman fail to k.o?K.oing someone who doesnt engage is difficult all the more reason Tyson and Wlad should be the top two.

Hardest punching Heavyweight ever:- Joe Louis

Hardest punching boxer ever :- Sugar Ray Robinson
              I can dig this.

              Heavyweight: Joe Louis

True power is force, speed and accuracy!
Thomas Hearns Vs Duran, that's true hitting power.
Joe Louis was the hardest hitting heavy ever, to this day, he could and did put a lighting bolt to the curve of your jaw!

              Pound 4 pound: Robinson

See his knockout of Fullmer with the left hook.
Force, speed and accuracy. ****, fights over in 1/8th second.

Wlad's up there as well, as are Morrison and Ruddock. But the thing which puts Wlad a rung lower in my books is the number of fighters who were able to take his shots before going down. Sure they were stopped in the end, but that was as much a result of his sharpness and accuracy allowing him to repeatedly hit them flush than it was his heavy handedness. Look at the second Brewster fight or either of the Peter fights. Now both those guys had great chins, Peter especially, but they were also hurt and dropped by other fighters around the same time, and stopped more brutally.

It's sort of a moot point though. Like I said, when you get to that level anyone you hit is going to feel the pain. Wlad's definitely got game changing power.

Foreman failed to stop Axel Schultz and Lou Savarese. Shavers failed to stop tons of people. Wlad not stopping or dropping Haye says more about Haye's trickiness and unwillingness to engage than it does about Wlad's power. Unless you want to say that Wlad doesn't hit as hard as Mormeck, Mock, Thompson or Monte Barrett.

What about Carlos Zarate? 66-4, 63 KO wins. Or is the quality of competition not as strong? Julian Jackson definitely, plus Nigel Benn, Tyson, Liston, Foreman. Wlad has the knockout wins, but is plagued with a much weaker heavyweight era. Vitali hit pretty hard, had the chin to boot too.

Well that holds true for Foreman as well ,Wlad is also hitting 240 pounders on average .Wlad also doesnt try and k.o you ,Tyson ,Morrison,Foreman all put everything into there punch ,almost in every instance when Manny pleaded with Wlad to end the fight he did ,also k.o someone in the later rounds as much as the early rounds shows power,Foreman has a very small percentage of after mid round k.os ,Wlad ended Brewsters career so not sure who you are referring to.
