and so what does that have to do with the fact that foreman, liston, tyson, holmes, and ali would crush him? nothing so again to me louis is #6.

buuuuuut he didnt so u should rank him higher. u cant change the past how u want it in your head

Originally posted by Kid AchillesProblem is, of those fighters only 3 actually have a decent chance of beating him (Ali, Holmes, Tyson) and even then he would probably be favored against all but Ali.
foreman, liston, and tyson would be too much for him. tyson would beat him to the punch, and would stop him in 4 or 5. foreman would walk all over him with his power, and liston is just a bigger and stronger version of louis, so he would beat him as well.
and also i forgot about joe frazier. sure louis might win, but to me getting rocked by a 160lb man in your prime spells trouble when your fighting the man with the best left hook in the business.

Ali lost to Frazier when both were near their primes. I don't think it's right for you to be ranking Ali above Frazier.

Ok then, why is he over, say...Eduardo Corletti if your ranking is based on mythical head-to-head matchups of what you "think" would happen when Corletti actually PROVED he could defeat Chuvalo?

Buttefly you do realize that getting the same two fighters together, each in his prime and in best possible condition, won't produce the same result every time. Sometimes Ali will decision Louis, sometimes Louis will knock him out. If you don't think Louis has a chance of KOing or stopping Ali if he catches him you are just not worth debating with.
