He probably hit about as hard as anyone. And he was a great inside fighter. Too bad he was a mess personally. But power only goes so far. I've heard Demetrice King is an absolutely crazy hitter but you know, look all that did for him.

because cooper was a cruiser, Louis wasn't. Cooper could have been 180 lbs, or 220 if he lifted. Joe was 200 lbs running 10 miles and chopping wood. Its all about the training. You think a long distance runner would walk around at 125 lbs 5'11 normally? Cooper was in an era where smaller men could lift their way to HW to make more money, but really he didn't belong there.

That being saidm, some cruiser do hit very hard. but it comes down to more than just the scale, weight can be held in various different ways.

cooper was a cruisaer is my point;..and Louis was a cruiser in terms of punching power..Put a cape on joe Louis and hes superman so im waiting on joe Louis to be the superman and include your analysis on that as well?

Louis knocked a lot of big heavyweights out cold. He was one of the hardest punching heavyweights in history. If he were fighting now he would be ripping apart most of the top heavyweights.

I rate Louis as no worse than the 2nd best heavyweight ever, so I guess we disagree. He had the best offensive skills of any heavyweight ever, imo.

You are following the wrong sport. And if you actually do train please give that up too.

He was a bit like pacquiao early on, hia offense was so great most people stayed away or got ****ed up. Schmeling did find a weakness though and it forced louis to improve his defense. That being said, louis was a pin point, Lazer accurate puncher with bine crushing power. He wasn't a small man by any means, just Google him in pictures with chuvalo, ali and frazier. He was simply around in a time where you trained for stamina and functionality, not looks. I don't know why people bring up weight so much, rarely ever in the history of the sport does weight ever decide who wins. Louis koed massive men. Evander holyfield went from 175 to 225. He was never a big hw and he was probably at his best around 208.

Louis was 190/200 pounds that's not a cruiserweight in comparison to cooper ,if we are in real life? You did nothing but give me what ifs,but the reality is Louis wouldn't be a Hw today so my point stands as is.
