I think a lot of folks would argue he sort of entered his peak about a year or so after the Morales loss. Maybe he didn't but also Morales got splattered in his other two Pacquaio fights whereas Marquez was always in fights where at least half (usually more) felt he won.

Morales for sure was on the downside by the time he lost to Pacquiao, though.
