And after that he even went on to give Danny Garcia hell in their first fight.

So true man, only Morales fight I didn't buy because I was sure Maidana was going destroy him. I regret not buying it.

--- Musta fergot, Maidana did destroy morales with the most grotesque, gut wrenching eye injury possible.

Any fair jurisdiction woulda would've stopped the bout at the point off the obvious rounds earlier. In that respect it was even worse than Saturdays Jack/Browne fight because morales had no vision in that eye.

Morales like BALCO Juan tough as a box of rocks, but, ahem, never the brightest boxer. Barrera had the overall best combination of attributes of the 3, but notably Marquez was MIA when they were at their best.

Look, your question is messing with my mind. I’m young 54, boxing fan since Howard c was interviewing Ali, I was nearly 6 when my dad woke me up to watch men walk in the moon.

--- My buddy and got off our grocer work at 9pm, changed out at home, and I picked him up around 11. Drove down south padre at port aransas to nap until the sun came up. Surfed all day before going to the historic tarpon inn where a large tv was silent with the Eagle in focus. We ordered big and ate slowly. Place became packed, but finally Armstrong descended the ladder to bounce a tiny step as the audio came on in a delayed staccato, "One small step for man, and one giant step for mankind."

We erupted in joy, but I played hell driving home after a day of beer and extreme sunburn with my buddy in dream world. Got home at 5 am and to work at 8 am for a 10 hour shift in my summer HS job. Toasted and deep fried lobster is the summation of that epic summer.

Marquez has to be number 1.

Never got blown out by manny, and unofficially I got Marquez/manny tied 2-2

Barrera and morales were marketed much better

Marquez and Barrera are very similar in terms of skill except Marquez has better chin and better power, especially counter shots. Barrera has better foot speed

Morales got beat by Barrera twice, and I don’t see why Marquez wouldn’t be able to do the same, maybe even more clearly as Marquez would be able to handle morales’ power and throw brutal counters back. Marquez would break morales with body work

Marquez did very well in 4 fights against Pacquiao.

But Morales also had a clear and convincing victory over a prime Pac too.

I think a lot of folks would argue he sort of entered his peak about a year or so after the Morales loss. Maybe he didn't but also Morales got splattered in his other two Pacquaio fights whereas Marquez was always in fights where at least half (usually more) felt he won.
