    Duran had a whole career as lightweight champion and some how managed a couple more careers at higher weights. Wilfredo Gomez at super bantamweight was amazingly a solid tenure.

      big george is the only one cracking 20 years. crazy stuff.

      and if we were to redo this exercise with lineal or ring titles (always 15 years). only lil floyd and big george would make the cut.

          WBO title became an officially recognised title by the governing bodies and other major titles in 2004, though the IBF didn't recognise it until 2006. However, from 2004 it was a legit title...anything before that was as official a championship title as the IBO is currently. Even from 2004 until about 2008 or so, very few people recognised it with any degree of legitimacy.

          Guys were still Undisputed champions in the mid 2000s without the WBO title because it still wasn't recognised as an official governing body title. It meant nothing until 2004 when it finally became officially recognised as one of the four major titles. Until that time, it was as legit as the IBO.
