I'd have to argue that the "overweight" version of Toney used a style of standing in one place and countering all throughout his 12 round bouts, which more than likely contributed to him being able to carry-on fresh till the later rounds.

Yeah, I have to agree. Amazing punch output.

I wanted to say Toney because the usual suspects have been mentioned already.

I see he's already been mentioned. a true fighting man is James Toney. He doesn't live well, but he still does 12 rounds no problem.

lets put it this way: Rahman came into that fight in the best shape of his life, he looked like a Greek statue...his muscles had muscles! Toney had a higher puncn output according to punch stat and was stronger down the stretch even Rahman was amazed. Some people claim that steriods had a lot to do with that but Toney was using a relatively small surface area product and steriods don't generally increase endurance so much as increase strength. Steriods work anarobically not aerobically which is why tour de france does blood dopping and not roids.

Actually the best of the best has to be Hollyfield. When in bastard maker mode he showed tremendous stamina...the proof of which is the fruit of his lions and the portion of his paycheck designated in the baby mama category.

Surprised no one mentioned Roy Jones Jr.

In terms of who I think would win in some kind of marathon its Antonio Margarito the guy was a freak of nature, he never even takes a deep breath. He's the same exact fighter in round 12 after throwing 1000+ punches as he is at the beginning of the fight. His hands never come down, his footwork enevr changes and he actually gets stronger.

In terms of actual boxing endurance Prime Aaron Pryor and prime Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao at the end of the first Morales fight is amazing

Battling Nelson has got to be on the list.

                      Joe Gans as well

I've always thought Aaron Pryor displayed phenomenal endurance and consider him an ATG at 140.
