I remember ty edged lennox lewis in the 84 oly's. He looked scared of the 18 yr old but outpointed him and as a gold medallist was on his ways to a high paying career.

That win reminds me that there is a difference between amateur and the pros. They met as pros and were completely different fighters.

Like Ray said, he played High School Basketball (like Greg Page), but with a team that had quality and finished 63-1 its final two years (he played with a guy named Gene Banks, who was considered better than Magic Johnson when they were preps).Went to Hampton University, got caught up in the drug scene there, then came back to Philly.Great amateur who got robbed the second time against Stevenson. He had very good boxing ability, but didn't have power, and wasn't fully developed by the time he fought Tyson, plus he had lingering drug issues.
