Meldrick Taylor vs Julio Cesar Chavez I
    Thomas Hearns vs Marvin Hagler
Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Diego Corralles or Castillo II
    Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis
Mike Tyson vs Michael Spinks or Larry Holmes
    Roy Jones vs James Toney
    Bernard Hopkins vs Felix Trinidad

I mean hell ever since Floyd beat De la Hoya, every boxer that has faced him would be considered instant super stars if they won. Heck even the guys the have been lucky enough to land a fight with Floyd since De la Hoya have become star attractions to boxing whether they win or lose.

Speaking of Holmes, how about if there were a different outcome in his first fight with Michael Spinks? Would there still be a rematch? I think Holmes would've went on, but probably not for as long. Maybe he then fights Tyson sooner and wins a decision?

That's an interesting point. I bet there would have been a rematch given that it would probably be a disputed descision. But lets say Holmes wins twice by UD and he meets up with Tyson sooner...now that would be interesting. I still see Tyson steamrolling him though. There is only so much hard accurate punches Holmes could take and even coming back to fight him late in his career it was pretty clear that Tyson is to aggressive and slippery for Holmes.

The most important win in boxing history was Joe Louis over Max Shmeling.

            That was funny!

You beat me to Chavez vs Taylor I. That changes a lot of things. Especially if Taylor won convincingly.

What impact would that have had? I think everything would have been the same.

Tyson beats Douglas. Tyson is looked upon as an omnipotent juggernaught a little longer.

some of these instances are really magnified if you square them though!

Lets say Louis lossed to Billy Conn and loses to schmelling a second time...he may not be considered anywhere near as good as he is presently.

Roy Jones Beats Tarver....Jones maybe is not exposed does not go up to heavyweight and is considered even better.
MAN if Tyson beat Douglas he might of still had a monstrous reign and thus might have fought Lewis sooner and killed him like he should have. I feel like the Douglas loss was the last straw for Tyson'S prime if he could of won he probably could of been more devastating in fights to come. After he loss I feel like he came to the conclusion without his original trainer he was done.

And if Roy was the same after Ruiz and schooled Tarver I think he'd have bigger nuthuggers then Floyd yet maybe he would have actually decided to take on the real HW champ of the world after that.

If Roy would've beat tarver and retired, many would consider him TBE

no he still wouldn't have been TBE if that had happened, there's so many fighters to consider to be better than him
