I don't necessarily think so, but he's one of them.

I think a Larry Holmes could have done it as well. He just had something I think would have been all wrong for Foreman.

Lennox Lewis could stop him late, Holmes too. Liston has a shot too although I'm less certain about that one. I'm also not convinced with the whole "nobody could outslug a prime Foreman".

Im sure Earnie Shavers could have. Not saying that as an absolute but as extremely likely possibility.

I doubt Lewis stops him late...I am a Lewis fan, having rooted for him when people were sure he would get eaten alive by Razor Ruddockm etc....But can you imagine if Lewis had engaged Foreman in a slugfest like he did with Vitali? Foreman hits a lot harder, it twice as relentless and mean. Lewis could not outslug George and could not box well enough to avoid him...Holmes is a diffrent story, Holmes might have outboxed George.

Lewis would not slug with him and he has weathered an early storm quite a few times in his career. Boxing well enough to avoid Foreman is exactly what he would be able to do, he has a long, strong jab that would make the slower, plodding Foreman think twice about attacking with his wide, looping power punches. And he is a very powerful puncher himself, I could see him hurting Foreman with his right straight from the outside and on the inside that sneaky, killer right uppercut while holding Foreman's head with his left hand(And Ali showed that Foreman's head could be pulled down in the clinch). What makes me favor him in this matchup though is that he would be the strongest guy Foreman ever faced, George would not be able to push and bully Lewis around. Lewis would just tie him up whenever he got close. I see Foreman slowing down in the later rounds and getting stopped in the championship rounds. That's my take on this one.

Ike Ibeabuchi with his gigantic gas tank, speed, power, chin and skills stands a bloody good chance.

              Holmes and Lewis also.

He could have, but I doubt it. The most likely scenario in that fight would be Foreman knocking out Shavers in a couple of rounds I think.

Lewis could move and jab/right hand Foreman for a long time, before Foreman got exhausted and then finish the job.

An equal possibility is Lewis getting knocked out pretty quickly as well I think.

He didnt even knockout foreman,,,, It was more a stoppage due to exhaustion and mental fatigue...

I think foreman is beatable, but i think he has a granite chin, and i really cant think of a plausible scenario where he would be laid out cold..... Maybe the foremen that fought lyles gets stopped by a monster puncher like lennox, shavers, Vitali, but im not 100% certain..

Foreman cleary has one of the best chins ever...

That's why I'm going with Holmes on this one, because he had a similar style to Ali and could exhaust Foreman.

He just didn't have the ring smarts.
